As stated in Huxley’s work “The Doors of Perception” he goes on to talk about how everyone should have a “chemical vacation”. I am a firm believer that everyone once in a while needs a vacation, I wouldn’t necessarily go on to say that someone should go on to use drugs such as mescaline or peyote but an alcoholic beverage once in a while doesn’t hurt. I'm sure many people can relate to Huxley in this aspect of relaxation due to the way American culture has become adapted, especially in such urban environments. As Huxley said, "But the need for frequent chemical vacations from intolerable selfhood and repulsive surroundings will undoubtedly remain", I myself can thoroughly agree with him on that.
